To American conservatives everywhere: NEVER GIVE UP!

Below is an article I found on Free Republic - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2415514/posts - and the original article can be found here - http://www.examiner.com/x-11887-Milwaukee-County-Conservative-Examiner~y2009m12d26-To-American-conservatives-everywhere-NEVER-GIVE-UP.

“It is no use saying, 'We are doing our best.' You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary.” -- Winston Churchill

In the wee hours of the morning on Christmas Eve the United States Senate skulked into their chambers under the darkness of night and passed Obamacare, a legislative nightmare that might be the most intrusive bill in American history. It not only gives the Congress complete control of one sixth of the American economy, it forces Americans to purchase health insurance under penalty of law and is a major step toward removing individual choice from healthcare. It also allows bureaucrats to make life and death health care decisions on behalf of our senior citizens.

Think not? Section 3403 of Senator Harry Reid’s amendment to the national health care bill requires that: It shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment, or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection.

By attaching section 3403 to his amendment Reid has made it illegal for Congress to change or repeal a specific, solitary section of the Obamacare legislation. They must keep hands off any change in the language that provides for Independent Medicare Advisory Boards.

The left cried foul and called Sarah Palin a liar after she breathed the words, “Death panels.” But there it is; Independent Medicare Advisory Boards are just another way of describing Death Panels.

In addition to Section 3403, the Senate bill requires a Super Majority to repeal any portion of the remainder of the bill. That means three fourths of the legislature must agree to revisions assuring that, should Congress experience a change in leadership in 2010, Obamacare will remain intact.

America, what have you done? The left fostered such hatred in you for the Bush administration that you voted for any change, just as long as it was a repudiation of Bush policies (which weren’t so bad in retrospect.)

You not only sent a man with Marxist leanings to the White House, you gave him a single party majority in both Houses of Congress. They proceeded to ram through at lightning speed some of the most onerous legislation we have ever seen, even though the majority of Americans were opposed.

Never mind that Section 3403 is unconstitutional, those rabid ideologues passed the bill anyway. They are willing to fall on their political swords, sacrificing their political careers, just as long as they can fundamentally change America before their passing.

Conservatives and Independents tried hard, even gathered in the nation’s streets, making speeches and carrying signs, to send a message to Congress that they did not want the health care bill. We gave it our best shot and lost that battle in the Senate. But now is not the time to surrender.

It’s time to launch a new offensive before Congress can reconcile the Senate version of the health care fiasco with the House of Representatives. Because as soon as Obama signs Oamacare into law, Congress will begin the process to pass Cap and Trade, which will plunge a dagger into the heart of America as we know it.

There were many House and Senate rules that could have been used to stall this health care travesty, but in the interest of “civility in the halls of Congress,” they didn’t use them. But the current Republican leadership doesn’t have the fire in their bellies to do whatever it takes to win. If not now, when?
We need a hardnosed strategy that can begin with lawsuits. Conservative law firms across America can challenge the legality of payments to states in return for votes. In addition, lawyers can question the constitutionality of many of the provisions within the health care bill, something that the Republicans should have done in the first place.

In the mean time, Americans can begin to phone their representatives daily and demand that they block passage of both Obamacare and Cap and Trade. Overload the system with messages. Write letters; fire off multiple emails; send telegrams; let them know that we are mad as hell.

Demand that the worst of them, those who accepted multi-million dollar payoffs for their states in exchange for their “yes” vote, immediately resign. If they won’t resign, launch recall initiatives and circulate petitions for their removal from office. Invest some of our dollars in the political campaigns of constitutional conservatives at the local, state and national levels, regardless of their party affiliation, and then work hard for their election.

We can’t expect much help from the main stream press, so we’ll have to educate ourselves, our families, friends, and neighbors to the danger that lies ahead and enlist them to join us in the battle.

Dick Morris paraphrased Winston Churchill recently with this statement: If they beat us in the Senate, we will fight them in conference. If they beat us in conference, we will fight them in the House. If they beat us in the House over healthcare, we will fight them over cap and trade. We will fight them over immigration and amnesty. We will fight them over the deficit. We will fight them over the debt. And we will fight them in 2010. We will fight them in the House. We will fight them for Senate seats in Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, and Arkansas. We will fight them in Colorado and North Dakota and California and Washington State. We will fight them in Illinois and in New Jersey. We will never, never, never, never give up! Our country is at stake!

It’s time for a new American Revolution. Not only is our country at stake, but the very freedom that we hold so dear.

MY COMMENTS: People need to wake up. This bill is unConstitutional but that means nothing to people who do not understand the Constitution. The Senate and House are now home on vacation. Time to call them everyday and demand they vote against this bill. Time to remind them every day they work for us - not we for them.

MARTHA COAKLEY: TOO IMMORAL FOR TEDDY KENNEDY'S SEAT

This is Ann Coulter's latest article.

In Tuesday's primary election, Massachusetts Democrats chose as their Senate nominee a woman who kept a clearly innocent man in prison in order to advance her political career.

Martha Coakley isn't even fit for the late Teddy Kennedy's old seat. (What is it about this particular Senate seat?)

During the daycare/child molestation hysteria of the '80s, Gerald Amirault, his mother, Violet, and sister, Cheryl, were accused of raping children at the family's preschool in Malden, Mass., in what came to be known as the second-most notorious witch trial in Massachusetts history.

The allegations against the Amiraults were preposterous on their face. Children made claims of robots abusing them, a "bad clown" who took the children to a "magic room" for sex play, rape with a 2-foot butcher knife, other acts of sodomy with a "magic wand," naked children tied to trees within view of a highway, and -- standard fare in the child abuse hysteria era -- animal sacrifices.

There was not one shred of physical evidence to support the allegations -- no mutilated animals, no magic rooms, no butcher knives, no photographs, no physical signs of any abuse on the children.

Not one parent noticed so much as unusual behavior in their children -- until after the molestation hysteria began.

There were no witnesses to the alleged acts of abuse, despite the continuous and unannounced presence of staff members, teachers, parents and other visitors at the school.

Not one student ever spontaneously claimed to have been abused. Indeed, the allegations of abuse didn't arise until the child therapists arrived.

Nor was there anything in the backgrounds of the Amiraults that fit the profile of sadistic, child-abusing monsters. Violet Amirault had started the Fells Acre Day School 18 years before the child molestation hysteria erupted.

Thousands of happy and well-adjusted students had passed through Fells Acres. Many returned to visit the school; some even attended Cheryl's wedding a few years before the inquisition began.

It's one thing to put a person in prison for a crime he didn't commit. It's another to put an entire family in prison for a crime that didn't take place.

In the most outrageous miscarriage of justice since the Salem witch trials, in July 1986, Gerald Amirault was convicted of raping and assaulting six girls and three boys and sentenced to 30 to 40 years in prison. The following year, Violet and Cheryl Amirault were convicted of raping and assaulting three girls and a boy and were sentenced to 8 to 20 years.

The motto of the witch-hunters was "Believe the Children!" But the therapists resolutely refused to believe the children as long as they denied being abused. As the police advised the parents: In cases of child abuse, "no" can mean "yes."

To the children's credit, they held firm to their denials for heroic amounts of time in the face of relentless questioning.

But as copious research in the wake of the child abuse cases has demonstrated, small children are highly suggestible. It's surprisingly easy to implant false memories into young minds by simply asking the same questions over and over again.

Indeed, the interviewing techniques in the Amirault case were so successful that the children also made accusations against three other teachers, two imaginary people named "Mr. Gatt" and "Al" and even against the child therapist herself -- the one claim of abuse that was provably true.

But only the Amiraults were put on trial for any alleged acts of abuse.

Coakley wasn't the prosecutor on the original trial. What she did was worse.

At least the original prosecutors, craven and ambition-driven though they were, could claim to have been caught up in the child abuse panic of the '80s. There had not yet been extensive psychological studies on the suggestibility of small children. A dozen similar cases from around the country had not already been discredited and the innocent freed.

Of all the men and women falsely convicted during the child molestation hysteria of the '80s, by 2001, only Gerald Amirault still sat in prison. Even his sister and mother had been released after serving eight years in prison for crimes that never occurred.

In July 2001, the notoriously tough Massachusetts parole board voted unanimously to grant Gerald Amirault clemency. Although the parole board is not permitted to consider guilt or innocence, its recommendation said: "(I)t is clearly a matter of public knowledge that, at the minimum, real and substantial doubt exists concerning petitioner's conviction."

Immediately after the board's recommendation, The Boston Globe reported that Gov. Jane Swift was leaning toward accepting the board's recommendation and freeing Amirault.

Enter Martha Coakley, Middlesex district attorney. Gerald Amirault had already spent 15 years in prison for crimes he no more committed than anyone reading this column did. But Coakley put on a full court press to keep Amirault in prison simply to further her political ambitions.

By then, every sentient person knew that Amirault was innocent. But instead of saying nothing, Coakley frantically lobbied Gov. Jane Swift to keep him in prison to show that she was a take-no-prisoners prosecutor, who stood up for "the children." As a result of Coakley's efforts -- and her contagious ambition -- Gov. Swift denied Amirault's clemency.

Thanks to Martha Coakley, Gerald Amirault sat in prison for another three years.

Remember all that talk about President Bush shredding constitutional rights? Overzealous liberal prosecutors and feminist do-gooders allowed Gerald Amirault to sit in prison for 18 years for crimes that didn't exist -- except in the imaginations of small children under the influence of incompetent child "therapists."

Martha Coakley allowed her ambition to trump basic human decency as she campaigned to keep a patently innocent man in prison.

Anyone with the smallest sense of justice cannot vote to put this woman in any office. If you absolutely cannot vote for a Republican on Jan. 19, 2010, write in the name "Gerald Amirault."

Time To Take A Stand

This is LtCol Allen West. A very interesting man. Google his name and find out more about him. At the start of WW II, Adm King stated "when the shit hits the fan, that's when the call for the sons of bitches." LtCol Allen West is the kind of man we need in the military to win this war. Yet the Army forced him to retire. Find out why.

He is running for Congress. Here is his website - http://allenwestforcongress.com/.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." --C.S. Lewis

The Truth of Mike Huckabee

For anyone who thinks that Mike Huckabee should be President of the United States, I urge you to rethink your position. Maurice Clemmons - the animal who ambushed and killed four police officers in Washington state - was granted a clemency by then Governor Mike Huckabee. Clemmons is not the only animal granted clemency or pardoned by Huckabee. He released over a thousand animals during his tenure as governor. I urge you to go to these two websites -

http://spectator.org/blog/2009/11/30/more-huckabee-background
http://spectator.org/archives/2007/12/12/tin-mike -

and read about Tin Mike.

I also urge you to contact your Republican leaders and urge them to not support Mike Huckabee for any Republican position. Please make a effort to contact Michael Steele and let him know that Mike Huckabee is not who conservatives want to run for the Presidency.
I am writing this on December 1, 2009. This would have been the 63rd birthday of my sister Maryanne. However, a murderer cut short her life in September.
I have been thinking about her for some time since receiving the news of her death. I decided to write and post this in honor of her life and her memory.
My sister – Maryanne Agnes Humphrey – was a good woman, a loving mother, and a loving grandmother. I am ashamed to say that I did not always get along with her nor treat her with the respect and dignity she deserved. She deserved dignity and respect because she was a good woman who lived a hard life, harming no one and wishing no one any harm. Unfortunately, people did not treat her with the same consideration.
Recently I watched a news report concerning a woman in Arkansas named Ann Pressly. She was an up and coming news personality, brutally murdered when someone broke into her home. Her death and the trial of her murderer received national news coverage. She was twenty-six years old, blonde, and pretty. She was college educated and a rising star, her future probably assured. She seemed to want for nothing – she had looks, brains, an outstanding job, a good home life, supportive family.
My sister was sixty-two years old when some lowlife shot her twice in a convenience store robbery. Maryanne had to work at a convenience store because she did not have a college education. However, she was not dumb – not by a long shot. Maryanne was a straight A student in school but did not have the breaks an Anne Pressly has.
Maryanne grew up living in poverty but it did not beat her down. She tackled life and made the best out of her lot. I remember her as energetic and optimistic, never saying a bad word about anyone or going out of her way to cause harm to anyone. During her funeral, her daughter and granddaughter not only made two poster-boards of her comprised of pictures from her life but also had commissioned a DVD, showing pictures of her. Every picture shows her smiling and happy. I was stunned to see how pretty she was and that she had a beautiful smile. Her face shined showing no traces of bitterness, defeat, or depression that a hard life can do to some.
Why had I not seen this before? Why did I not treat her better? She never did anything to me and yet I did nothing for her. I am ashamed and I am sorry. I realized that we never get the second chance. This is our one shot and to live life without telling your siblings or your parents that you love them is truly heartbreaking. There is no more time for anger and bitterness. There is only time left to leave it behind and embrace what you have with whom you are with.
I believe in God and I believe that Maryanne is with Him. Why? As I said, she was a good woman who never went out of her way to harm others, who never did evil, and tried her best with her abilities to help those around her. I never said I loved her so I say it now. I love my sister Maryanne and I hope and pray that I can say that to her in Heaven.

How pissed off are you after the Senate voted this past Saturday on their version of the Health Care bill? Well, I am really pissed off! Moderate Dems my arse! I wrote the below letter and sent it to my two local newspapers - The Calvert Recorder and Calvert Independent. Let's see if they print it. In the meantime, here is the letter -

I hope the Representatives and Senators of Maryland and throughout the rest of America are happy. The Health Care bill from each respective chamber has now passed. The recent Senate vote does not fool me. Yes, I know it was only a vote to allow for debate. Yes, I have heard the lame rationales from various Senators that this does not mean they will vote for the bill when it actually comes up for a vote. Please, do not talk to me as if I am a fool. The Democrats resorted to bribery to get the votes in order to pass a bill that they exempt themselves from.
I suppose our Congress cannot help it. I can see where all of you – Republicans and Democrats – believe the American public to be foolish and stupid. On a daily basis, government - from the local level on up to the Federal behemoth - confronts the citizens with its inadequacy, incompetence, and stupidity. We – the citizens – have no one to blame but ourselves for letting Congress get by with this fiasco of a health care bill. We truly do get the government we deserve.
All an individual has to do is look at the universal health care of different nations in order to see it as an abysmal failure. However, that may be too difficult for the average citizen. If that is the case, then look within the United States. Tennessee –tried it and deserted it. Hawaii –tried it and deserted it. Look at Massachusetts and the troubles that state is having. If the citizen really wants to look at how bad government run health care is, look at the health care government provides to American Indians and to military veterans.
The Congress knows this even if the average citizen does not, counting on the average citizen to pay more attention to what passes for entertainment within their country than to what is happening to their country. Our Congress has fooled a great majority of this nation; however, there are those of us who you cannot fool. I am one of those and people like me are growing on a daily basis.
As an retired veteran of the United States Navy, I swore to defend this nation and the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. What this Congress attempts to do by forcing universal health care down the collective throat of the American public, is against the Constitution. That makes them domestic enemies.
In order to fight against this travesty, I have written and called the offices of my elected Representative and Senators numerous times. There are times I cannot get through due to other citizens attempting to make their voices heard. The times I do get through, I talk to aides who either pretend ignorance or are truly ignorant, seeming to have no knowledge of their boss’s intentions. Yet, even with the thousands of calls and letters the Congress receives against certain legislation, you continue to pass it, ignoring the will of the constituents you claim to represent.
Congressmen and Senators - let me remind you of some simple factual truths. One - we – the constituents, the citizens, the American public – do not work for you! You work for us! Yet, you continue to ignore the will of your constituents. Two - we demand you work within the confines of the United States Constitution. Again, you continue to ignore the Constitution and us. This will not stand.
I am not going to waste space by listing what is unconstitutional with either the Senate or House version of the health care bill. I will not waste time by listing what can truly make health care better. The Congress already knows this and they do not care. In order to make health care truly better would mean for the Congress to relinquish control. They will not do that. For the average citizen reading this letter, my advice is to get off your rear end and find out how this Congress is attempting to destroy this nation and take away your liberty.
This Congress ignores our phone calls, our letters, and our emails. Elected officials refuse to either hold town hall meetings or hold them in controlled environments. They use union thugs and goons at these town halls to intimidate concerned citizens. Be advised! I will work hard and continuously to see my elected officials voted out of office. If not this election, then the next one. I will write letters, make phone calls, and continually expose your corruption and cowardice to all within and without Maryland. Moreover, I am not alone. As I write this, there are millions of us mobilizing to see you and your ilk kicked out of Congress.
My advice – stand down and listen to the citizens. Stop trying to take away our liberty. Or be prepared to have us – the citizens – make you stand down by electing you out of office.

This Little Lady Is On The Mark!

I received this video via email today. Amazing. This little girl is 12 years old and already possesses more wisdom than most members of the United States Congress. She also possesses more knowledge of this great nation than some of the people that I will send this blog to and others who will stumble upon this blog. And she does it all without a teleprompter. That is because when you speak the truth, when you speak with wisdom and boldness, when you speak with knowledge and love of your subject, than you already know what to say.

Stand up for the United States. Please pass this along.

The Indoc Begins

Below is an extremely disturbing video. This video was first put online by Charisse Carney-Nunes, an activist and author of the children's book "I Am Barack Obama." She is the adult not seen.
I am not going to give a bio of Nunes. I will let you research that. If you are interested. However, I hope you find this disturbing.
Several things in the video are bothersome. One is the children chanting Barack Hussein Obama. So, during the election, I was a racist for repeating his middle name. But now it is okay to rub our faces in his middle name. Another is the praise all his accomplishments. The video was filmed in February of this year. Obama was in office less than a month. What accomplishments? Third, they have the children swaying to the chant. This instills muscle memory. Fourth - the chant is sung to the tune of The Battle Hymn of the Republic - a song banned from many schools due to its religious overtones. And lastly, the bastardization of a Christian hymn - Jesus Loves the Little Children.
People - this is what Marxists, Fascists and Dictators do! And this is why people distrust and hate the public school system.

Mike McDermott - Mayor of Pocomoke City, MD

It's time to get involved. What are you - a Conservative or a RINO.

Below is a video I shot of Mike McDermott - the Republican Mayor of Pocomoke City, Maryland. I apologize for the poor quality but the sound is fantastic. Mike McDermot is a dynamic speaker and he is on fire and on target. This was at the Solomons Island, Maryland Tea Party held on Sunday, March 22, 2009.

Let me know what you think. If you agree with Mike McDermott than you are a Conservative. If you disagree with anything he has to say, consider youself a RINO. Republican In Name Only!

Van Jones Mystery Solved? More on Communists in the White House

For your reading pleasure. It is long but well worth the time. Please pass this along. For those of you who voted for Obama, how is that change thing coming along?

The Obama Administration refuses to say how communist Van Jones was hired as the “Green Jobs Czar” and who recommended him. The administration refuses to say who knew what about his communist background. The White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), where Jones is employed, told me, in response to a series of Freedom of Information Act requests, that it had no documents about his hiring or communist background. But some possible explanations for the mysterious appointment are now coming into focus.

On the Thursday edition of his Fox News Channel television program, Glenn Beck noted that
Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor and Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement, seemed to claim credit for the appointment during an appearance at a left-wing bloggers conference last month. Beck made the disclosure while noting evidence that Jones was a member of the 9/11 truth movement, which blames the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on U.S. Government officials. A video had previously surfaced of Jones calling Republicans “assholes.”

While Fox News correspondent James Rosen provided a report on the controversy on “Special Report with Bret Baier” on Thursday night, only Accuracy in Media has noted the embarrassing fact that the parent company of Fox News published Jones’ book, The Green Collar Economy, last year. The book was
hailed by Harper Collins, a subsidiary of News Corporation, as “provocative, personal, and inspirational.”

Harper Collins described Jones as “a man who counsels President Barack Obama on environmental policy” but its
official biography of the author, like the one distributed by the White House, said nothing about his communist background. The release of the book, which was largely the work of a professional writer and editor by the name of Ariane Conrad, was clearly a significant factor in propelling Jones to national prominence and getting him his White House job.

But the Valerie Jarrett comments highlighted by Beck may be important in understanding the process by which Jones actually got his job. Jarrett is well-connected in Chicago circles.

Blogger Trevor Loudon, who broke the story of Jones’
Marxism, reports that Valerie Jarrett’s late father-in-law, Vernon Jarrett, was an associate of Communist Party USA member Frank Marshall Davis and that they worked together in Chicago. Davis, the subject of a 600-page FBI file, is the mysterious “Frank” from Obama’s book, Dreams from My Father, and served as a mentor to a young Barack Obama in Hawaii.

But other evidence supports the idea that Rep. Barbara Lee, one of the most extreme members of Congress and an apologist for Fidel Castro, played a key role in the Jones appointment. Lee, perhaps best known for casting the lone vote in the House against U.S. military action to remove the Taliban regime in
Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks, is a close friend of both Jones and President Obama.

But behind Lee and Jones is an influential network of communists known as the
Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism (CCDS). Lee was a secret member of the group, a spin-off of the Communist Party USA, while Jones was the keynote speaker at a 2006 CCDS fundraiser.

Blogger Trevor Loudon reports that the title of the CCDS fundraiser featuring Jones was “Towards Building a Progressive Majority.” He notes that many members of the Jones communist group STORM (Standing Together To Organize a Revolutionary Movement) worked closely with the CCDS.

According to a history of STORM, several members of the group traveled to Cuba in 1999 as part of the notorious Venceremos Brigade. “As STORM seldom exceeded 20 members, it is very likely that Van Jones, as a leader of the organization, was on that, or another, Cuba trip,” Loudon writes.

It is significant that Lee issued the following
statement after Jones’ appointment was announced:

“I am so very pleased that Van Jones, a constituent, friend and strong advocate for green jobs has been chosen to be a special advisor to the White House Council on Economic Quality.

“Van has been at the forefront of the green jobs movement and has shown us all the way to utilize green collar jobs as a pathway out of poverty. Were it not for Van, we would not have been able to establish the Green Job Corps in Oakland which provides local Oakland residents with job training, support, and work experience so that they can independently pursue careers in the new energy economy.

“His expertise and vision in the area of green jobs will be a wonderful addition to the White House CEQ.”

An
article on the website of the Life Science Foundation discloses that “Working with his colleagues and California Congress woman Barbara Lee, [Van] Jones was able to get the City of Oakland to adopt the Ella Baker Center’s Green Jobs Corps.”

This makes perfect sense, of course. Jones worked in Oakland, founded the Ella Baker Center in Oakland, and Lee represents Oakland. On November 11, 2008, after Obama’s election, Jones and Lee appeared together at
an event in Oakland, along with actor Danny Glover. Stephen Mufson of the Washington Post attended the event and wrote a puff-piece about it.

“We want the federal
government to buy into what is taking place here in Oakland,” Lee was quoted by one columnist as saying. “Once the federal government buys in, I believe our nation can see what can be done. We must go green.” These sounds like the words of someone who wanted to see Jones implement on the national level what he had done, with Lee’s support, in Oakland.

Nicole Y. Williams, communications director for Rep. Lee, did not return a telephone call seeking comment on Lee’s possible role in arranging the Jones appointment.

However, in her book, Renegade for Peace & Justice, Lee reveals that she served as an Obama presidential campaign adviser because “I liked his message of fundamental change, which was as close to a revolutionary message as we have had in decades.” Through her position as Obama’s Western Regional co-chair during the campaign, “I participated in rallies, phone banking, and behind-the-scenes advising on issues and politics.”

In her book, she declares her support for Communist Cuba, saying, “On many occasions I have taken people to Cuba to educate them about the realities of Cuban society so that they can make judgments for themselves whether the negative propaganda about Cuba that we consume in the United States is justified.” She attacks the
Bush Administration for deposing Jean Bertrand Aristide, the Marxist proponent of “Liberation Theology” who once ruled Haiti.

Lee freely admits involvement in the “progressive” Black Panther Party, a group that regularly denounced police officers as “pigs,” and names one of the other members of the group as Angela Davis, “the noted African American member of the Communist Party.” Lee quotes a Panther official as denying that the Panther program was based on the Communist Manifesto but admits that she was called “Comrade Barbara.”

The CCDS connection is something that Lee and Van Jones have in common.

Herbert Romerstein, a former professional staff member of the House Intelligence Committee, explains, “In 1992, while a member of the California State Assembly, Barbara Lee was elected to the National Coordinating Committee of the Committees of Correspondence. Most, but not all, of the members of this group had been active in the Communist Party USA.” However, exposure of Lee’s role in the controversial pro-communist group led one of the members to propose a “non-public” status for those wishing to be active behind-the-scenes.

While Lee was apparently embarrassed by the public exposure of her involvement with the Communist Party spin-off group, Jones spoke to the CCDS openly in 2006, prompting blogger Trevor Loudon to comment, “Maybe Jones didn’t realize he was addressing a Marxist-Leninist function? Maybe he thought it was a Rotary or PTA group?”

After getting to the bottom of how Jones got his White House job, Glenn Beck should turn his attention to how Jones got his book published by Harper Collins, a subsidiary of the same company, News Corporation, which owns the Fox News Channel and employs Beck.

Harper Collins also published the book, Underground: My Life With SDS and the Weathermen, by former communist terrorist Mark Rudd, who said he was paid $50,000 as an advance.

As we noted in our
previous column, the Van Jones book includes endorsements from Thomas L. Friedman of the New York Times, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, TV host Tavis Smiley, former Senator Tom Daschle, Arianna Huffington, and Larry Brilliant of Google.

Huffington’s far-left website, the Huffington Post, has been defending the Van Jones appointment and attacking Glenn Beck for exposing his communist background.

Birds of a Feather, Flock Together...

The latest from Sonja Schmidt talking about Obama's Friends. This is from PJTV. It is strange how we don't heed the advice of our parents when they told us what Sonjan says her mother told her - tell me who your friends our and I will tell you who you are.

After watching this and seeing who Obama hangs out with, you tell me who and what Obama is.

Who Is Spying On Whom? - Part II

Last week I posted a Glenn Beck video where he described how the government says that your PC becomes their PC if you log onto cars.gov.

Now we find out that the Obama administration wants American citizens to turn in other citizens if emails contain "fishy" information concerning the health care bill.

First thing - as I said before, where are all the liberals who bitched and moaned about President George W. Bush concerning the tapping of phones of overseas calls, complaining that he was spying on American citizens. I guess Obama is not spying on the citizens. He just wants the citizens to spy on each other and than drop a dime to the White House.

Second thing - if this Health Bill passes it will be the ruin of this nation. I guess by saying that this blog is now "fishy."

I don't know about you but the only bad smell around the nation lately is the smell of corruption and socialism coming from this White House. We as citizens need to stop this Chicago thuggery and take back this nation from the statists.

Call your Senators. Call your Congressmen. Attend a Tea Party. Go to a Town Hall meeting and make your voice heard.

And if they don't listen to us - the citizens they are suppose to work for - then make them listen in November 2010.

Who Is Spying On Whom?

Alright. I would like anyone who reads this to send it to your liberal friends or anyone who claimed to be upset because President Bush was "spying" on United States citizens. Look at the below Glenn Beck video. It is five minutes long but well worth watching.

So, the United States government says that your computer now belongs to them. And they will pass information over to foreign law enforcement. And they can continue to monitor your computer. Talk about spying on citizens. How soon will this extend to all government agencies.

People, it is way pass time for us to wake up and start taking back our country. And I am not just talking about Obama. I am talking not only about him but our Senators and Congressmen and the bureaucratic statists that want to rule over us.

Call your Congressmen and Senators.

Boehner Blasts Censorship of Chart

Last week, I posted a chart showing the bureaucratic labyrinth that will occur if the statists in Congress have thier way and vote in a National Health Care bill. It seems this has upset the statists so much that they have attempted to block Congressional Republicans from using the chart when communicating with their constituents. Watch the video below as Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) blasts the statists in their attempt to censor the truth from reaching the citizens.

Here is the text of his speech -

“Mr. Speaker, Democrats in Congress don’t want the American people to see this chart. This is the chart that outlines the Democrat proposal moving through the House of Representatives that contains as many as 53 new Federal programs, Agencies and Commissions. That’s right; they’re trying to restrict Members of Congress from showing this to their constituents. They say it’s misleading. Well, there’s nothing misleading about it. They just don’t want anyone to see it.
“Well, here it is. I’m using it. Are they going to turn out the lights, are they going to turn off the cameras? Why don’t they want the American people to see this?
“Well, I think the American people deserve the truth about the Democrats’ $1.6 trillion takeover of our of our health care system. More bureaucracy, more taxes, more mandates - and more government involvement in your life.
“And guess what? It also means less jobs for Americans. According to a model developed by the President’s own Council of Economic Advisors Chairperson, this proposal will cost Americans some 5.5 million jobs over the next 10 years; the National Federation of Independent Business says that at least a million small business jobs will be lost; and, even the Congressional Budget Office over the weekend made it clear that this will cost low-wage workers an opportunity to get a job.
“Listen, after the ‘stimulus’ didn’t work, most of my constituents are continuing to ask the question, ‘where are the jobs?’
“We have a ‘stimulus’ that’s not working, we have a national energy tax bill that came through here this month that will cost millions of Americans their jobs, and while this will ruin the health care system that we enjoy in America, let’s not forget, it will cost us millions of American jobs when most Americans continue to want to know, ‘where are the jobs?’”

I suggest anyone reading this call their Congressman - especially if they are a Democratic statist - and ask why they want to censor this chart.

For those who want to know what a statist is and why I use the term in labeling the Congressional Democrats, please read this definition -

stat·ism - n. The practice or doctrine of giving a centralized government control over economic planning and policy.

Is this not what the Democratic statists want to do - to take control over the economy. Please call your Congressman and Senators today. Be polite but remind them that they work for us and we do not want the government taking over our health care system.

Text of H.R. 45: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009

I received this in an email today -

This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009....

We just learned yesterday about this on the Peter Boyle's radio program.

Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because it is flying under the radar.

To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
It is registered

You are fingerprinted
You supply a current Driver's License
You supply your Social Security #
You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing

Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.

There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.

They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

Now, I get a lot of emails along this line and even though this is rated true by Snopes.com, I decided to do some independent checking. Govtrack.us will provide all the information you need.

My email said to send this to all the hunters I know. Why do people have the misconception that the 2nd Amendment protects the rights of hunters. The 2nd Amendment protects the citizens of the United States against their own government!

Please pass this along. Call your Reps to kill this bill.

Arrested Harvard Prof Has 'Stupidly' Played the Race Card His Whole Life ( "race hustler" )

humanevents.com ^ 07/27/2009 Jack Thompson

In 1990 I served the federal court here in South Florida as amicus curiae (friend of the court) in the obscenity trial that determined Miami rap group 2 Live Crew’s album As Nasty As They Wanna Be was obscene and thus not protected by the First Amendment.

The verdict -- the first in world history that a sound recording was obscene -- was handed down by Jose A. Gonzalez, Jr., a liberal judge appointed by President Carter and who was hailed for his civil rights record by the ACLU and the rap group’s lawyer when the case was assigned to him.

Any successful effort to have the album declared not obscene had to rely upon the testimony of an expert brought in by the ACLU and the rap group’s lawyer. The expert’s name was Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr., the Harvard professor arrested this week in Cambridge, Mass., by police officers who President Obama last week at his press conference said, “acted stupidly.” Obama said this after he first said he didn't have all the facts. Does this make you wonder what else he is giving opinions on without "all the facts?"

With Gates’ shouted and now repeated assertions that the officer who arrested him is a “racist,” and the President's ignorant assertion that Gates, whom Obama knows, is a victim of “racial profiling,” what you the reader need to know is that the only racist in this situation is most likely Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. I should know.

At the 2 Live Crew trial, Gates testified that the rap album which describes gleefully the raping and beating of black women was on a par with the art found in Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales. The editorial policies of HUMAN EVENTS appropriately prevent me from sharing with you the sordid lyrics from that album, but I can tell you that when I appeared on Phil Donohue’s national television program with 2 Live Crew, one of the guests uttered just one line of the lyrics and the broadcast was immediately terminated all along the Eastern seaboard where it was airing live. This was art? Apparently the liberal network we were on didn’t think so.

At the trial, Gates explained to Judge Gonzalez that whites simply cannot comprehend the beauty and worth of such black art. He swore that the concerns about selling this pornographic album to adults and kids alike stemmed from white racism. Look online at Gates’ bio. His entire career is built upon the premise that whites are most likely racists and blacks are nearly always victims of those white racists. This guy plays the race card from a deck of 52 race cards.

You maybe had to be there at the trial to believe what you were hearing -- or maybe not. Judge Gonzalez found the race-centric testimony of Professor Gates to be utterly unbelievable and absurd, and he indicated just that in his 62-page opinion.

After the verdict, the NAACP’s Dr. Benjamin Hooks weighed in on the controversy and rebutted with one sentence everything Professor Gates has built a career upon: “2 Live Crew apparently doesn’t understand that celebrating the raping of black women is not entertainment, and it is not art.” The vast majority of the phone calls and letters I got thanking me for my efforts in getting this album declared obscene were from African American parents, and one call I shall never forget was from a teenaged black girl whose friend was raped by a gang who played the album on their boom box during the rape.

So, as you behold the unfolding of this controversy that now has trapped the White House, and you hear Professor Gates’ and his surrogates’ charges that white racism is why he was arrested, take this word of advice from someone who saw this academic weirdo close up: Consider the source.

The Necklace by Andrew Mikel

The following story can be found in the Free Lance Star - http://fredericksburg.com/ - and the link for the story is here - http://www.fredericksburg.com/News/FLS/2009/072009/07182009/479943/printer_friendly. It is written by an Andrew Mikel of Spotsylvania. It is a simple but good read.

The Necklace
July 18, 2009 12:36 am

-
IT'S A COLD, gray morn- ing. The sky is dark and it looks like it's going to rain. But there are lots of families here waiting in line for the new link. Up ahead through the crowd I see my friend Angie and her mom walking back from the front of the line.
"Hey Angie!" But Angie just manages a weak smile and a wave as her mom pulls her past us. Her mom is wiping away tears.
"They said I'm too sick for the new link," Angie says. With a bony white hand Angie is holding her collar closed against the wind. Her mom has her other hand, pulling her along. Angie is pale and spindly 'cause she's got some serious disease I can't pronounce.
"But they've got a link for doctors and hospitals," I call after her. But Angie is gone now, behind us and out of sight.
I look up at Daddy and he looks worried, so I try to cheer him up.
"Will the new link be as shiny as these?" I finger the links of necklace around my neck.
"It'll be a beautiful new link, honey, I promise. And this one's an important one. This link is for if you go to college someday. College will be free--if they send you to college."
"And they're gonna send me, right, Daddy--so I don't have to work in the factory--or I don't have to do community service?"
"Shhh--someone will hear you!" Daddy looks around nervously. I bite my lower lip 'cause I realize I'm talking loud.
"All work is good, dear," Daddy says. "And everybody has to contribute--no matter where they send us."
I hold Daddy's hand tight and I smile. Daddy always has the right answers. I'm tired and my legs are tired and I try to think about when we're finally at the front of the line. At the front of the line, I'll get my new link welded onto my necklace. It'll be a college link--to go with the other links for food and housing and mass transit and community service. But I don't know if I still believe it.
"But these links don't always work, do they, Daddy?"
"Shhh! Sure they do. Don't ask so many questions, honey."
"But the doctors and nurses link isn't helping Angie--just like it didn't help you when you were sick."
"That's because Angie's got something real expensive to treat. And me? I'm older. And there's just so much medicine available, and just so many doctors and nurses to go around. So strong, healthy people like you get cared for first. Young people and people who can someday be part of the work force. Us old folks--and really sick people like Angie--well, we just wait for what's left. Anyway, back in my day, growing up, we didn't have links and necklaces and such."
"What did you do when you needed something?"
"Everyone had to do for themselves. We had to work hard and study hard and discover things and invent our own things."
"That must have been really hard."
"It was. And some people got really rich and really famous--and others didn't work hard and they stayed poor."
"That's no fun."
"Oh, in some ways it was fun. I guess, if the truth be told, even when it was tough it was exciting. But we changed all that--my generation did. We made sure we got better leaders in Washington--leaders who finally got away from the Constitution and started taking care of us. So now you have that necklace--and I have a necklace. All the people have necklaces that keep us all safe. And keep us all equal. Nobody rich, nobody poor. We all work for each other--and they divide everything up equally."
"Do you think my necklace is getting too long, Daddy?"
"It's beautiful. What's the matter, don't you like it?"
"I love it, Daddy. Only it hurts my neck."
"That's a small price to pay when you think about how the government is keeping us all safe "
"Angie doesn't call it a necklace."
Daddy doesn't answer me, but I can feel his arm around me.
"Angie calls it a chain, Daddy."
"Angie will never understand," Daddy says quietly.
I'm tired and the line is long. The light rain is steady now. I lean against Daddy and hug his leg.
"I love you, Daddy." I smile up at him. He smiles back. How do I tell him that with each new link, my necklace grows heavier and heavier?

Time To Take A Stand!

I'm back!

Today, the Senate passed a bill to expanding the SCHIP program which supposively adds 4 million lower-income children to government insurance programs. The bill allows households that make over 85k a year or those who already have private health insurance, to have their health insurance covered by the government. This is insane! This is socialized health care. It is time to get off our collective arses and stop the socialization of the United States.

There are plenty of RINOs out there - Republicans In Name Only - that need to either crap or get off the pot. It is time to take a stand. If you can't stand up for conservatism, then you need to leave the Republican Party. And I will start calling out RINOs - INCLUDING THOSE IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IN CALVERT COUNTY!

In the meantime - listen to the great Ronald Reagan talk about the dangers of socialized medicne -
