If you actually take the time to do the research you will quickly learn that the Democrats want to “tax” oil and gas companies, and push their “green agenda” as a means to control energy. By controlling energy they can then control the means of production. Or put in plain English they can bring America FULLY into Communism. The shrieks for health care reform are related to regulating the medical industry to FORCE them into supporting abortion. The Democrats are nothing but fascists, they do NOT believe in Democracy or they wouldn't routinely take such unpopular stances against the public!

I want to preface my comment by saying I was raised by a Liberal Democrat and a Fiscally Conservative Republican. My Dad (Republican) has social conservative beliefs but does not impose his ideology on others. If he were in California he would have voted against Prop. 8 because he values the separation of Church and State; however, he believes Marriage is between a man and a Woman. So I am Socially Liberal but Fiscally Conservative.
My comment: Those hearings in 2004 and 2006 were about Fannie Mae’s Accounting practices. In other words, they got caught fluffing the books. This is a separate issue from Sub-prime and Alt A Mortgages. I have spent the last three weeks building a Web Site dedicated to getting to the bottom of this financial mess. This, more than any other issue, has to be a purple effort. Both sides of the isle are dirty…we have to take them all down!
Be weary of heavily edited videos…1/2 truths can be misleading and dangerous.

I can tell you are interested in getting to the bottom of this mess but you must let go of your politics too see the truth: Fannie Mae did not cause this mess…greed and corruption did. Think of Fannie Mae as a house. In 1977, Carter gave lower-middle/lower class citizens the ability to buy a house…think of this law as a locked window. In 1999 the repeal of Glass-Segal by a 2/3 majority (veto proof) effectively unlocked that window. After that, it became easier and easier for the house to get robbed. Does that make since? I have been trying to find the most effective way to explain Fannie Mae connection to this mess.
