IT'S A COLD, gray morn- ing. The sky is dark and it looks like it's going to rain. But there are lots of families here waiting in line for the new link. Up ahead through the crowd I see my friend Angie and her mom walking back from the front of the line.
"Hey Angie!" But Angie just manages a weak smile and a wave as her mom pulls her past us. Her mom is wiping away tears.
"They said I'm too sick for the new link," Angie says. With a bony white hand Angie is holding her collar closed against the wind. Her mom has her other hand, pulling her along. Angie is pale and spindly 'cause she's got some serious disease I can't pronounce.
"But they've got a link for doctors and hospitals," I call after her. But Angie is gone now, behind us and out of sight.
I look up at Daddy and he looks worried, so I try to cheer him up.
"Will the new link be as shiny as these?" I finger the links of necklace around my neck.
"It'll be a beautiful new link, honey, I promise. And this one's an important one. This link is for if you go to college someday. College will be free--if they send you to college."
"And they're gonna send me, right, Daddy--so I don't have to work in the factory--or I don't have to do community service?"
"Shhh--someone will hear you!" Daddy looks around nervously. I bite my lower lip 'cause I realize I'm talking loud.
"All work is good, dear," Daddy says. "And everybody has to contribute--no matter where they send us."
I hold Daddy's hand tight and I smile. Daddy always has the right answers. I'm tired and my legs are tired and I try to think about when we're finally at the front of the line. At the front of the line, I'll get my new link welded onto my necklace. It'll be a college link--to go with the other links for food and housing and mass transit and community service. But I don't know if I still believe it.
"But these links don't always work, do they, Daddy?"
"Shhh! Sure they do. Don't ask so many questions, honey."
"But the doctors and nurses link isn't helping Angie--just like it didn't help you when you were sick."
"That's because Angie's got something real expensive to treat. And me? I'm older. And there's just so much medicine available, and just so many doctors and nurses to go around. So strong, healthy people like you get cared for first. Young people and people who can someday be part of the work force. Us old folks--and really sick people like Angie--well, we just wait for what's left. Anyway, back in my day, growing up, we didn't have links and necklaces and such."
"What did you do when you needed something?"
"Everyone had to do for themselves. We had to work hard and study hard and discover things and invent our own things."
"That must have been really hard."
"It was. And some people got really rich and really famous--and others didn't work hard and they stayed poor."
"That's no fun."
"Oh, in some ways it was fun. I guess, if the truth be told, even when it was tough it was exciting. But we changed all that--my generation did. We made sure we got better leaders in Washington--leaders who finally got away from the Constitution and started taking care of us. So now you have that necklace--and I have a necklace. All the people have necklaces that keep us all safe. And keep us all equal. Nobody rich, nobody poor. We all work for each other--and they divide everything up equally."
"Do you think my necklace is getting too long, Daddy?"
"It's beautiful. What's the matter, don't you like it?"
"I love it, Daddy. Only it hurts my neck."
"That's a small price to pay when you think about how the government is keeping us all safe "
"Angie doesn't call it a necklace."
Daddy doesn't answer me, but I can feel his arm around me.
"Angie calls it a chain, Daddy."
"Angie will never understand," Daddy says quietly.
I'm tired and the line is long. The light rain is steady now. I lean against Daddy and hug his leg.
"I love you, Daddy." I smile up at him. He smiles back. How do I tell him that with each new link, my necklace grows heavier and heavier?

Time To Take A Stand!
I'm back!
Today, the Senate passed a bill to expanding the SCHIP program which supposively adds 4 million lower-income children to government insurance programs. The bill allows households that make over 85k a year or those who already have private health insurance, to have their health insurance covered by the government. This is insane! This is socialized health care. It is time to get off our collective arses and stop the socialization of the United States.
There are plenty of RINOs out there - Republicans In Name Only - that need to either crap or get off the pot. It is time to take a stand. If you can't stand up for conservatism, then you need to leave the Republican Party. And I will start calling out RINOs - INCLUDING THOSE IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IN CALVERT COUNTY!

This Guy Is Nothing But A Thug

This was back in August of this year, as he spoke about Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. Yes, you saw it correctly. Senator Barack Hussein Obama gave the middle finger to Senator Clinton. And the audience knew it as you can tell by their response. Now, take a look at this video as Senator Obama talks about Senator McCain -
It doesn't matter if this guy wins or not. In a perfect world, he shouldn't even be where he is. But there are people who vote for him regardless what he does or says. Shame on you for voting for this thug. He has no class, no style, and no respect for anyone who competes against him. He is nothing but a thug from the corrupt Chicago/Illinois political machine where the motto is the fix is in! If you support him it tells me you also have no class, no style. That you don't care about this country.

Legendary Marine Passes On
No politics today. I want to take this time to inform people of a hero. The below story is from Townhall.com - a conservative Internet site - and is written by W. Thomas Smith, Jr. You will not see this on the evening news nor will you read about Col. Ripley on any liberal/leftist sites. After reading the below article, please say a prayer for Col. Ripley and his family.
COL. JOHN W. RIPLEY, U.S. MARINE CORPS (ret.), recipient of the Navy Cross and for years one of my personal heroes, has passed away.
Ripley, 69, was awarded the Navy Cross – the nation’s second-highest award for valor in combat – for single-handedly blowing up the Dong Ha Bridge in Vietnam, thus blunting the North Vietnamese Army's Easter Offensive on April 2, 1972.
The enemy was attacking in great strength – huge numbers of infantry, tanks, artillery – and Ripley's little force was ordered to "hold and die."
Dying would be easy. But the only way to hold was to blow the bridge spanning the Dong Ha River. And, as Ripley said, he was "the Marine there to do it."
Then a 33-year-old captain, Ripley accomplished his task by dangling from the bridge's I-beams, climbing along the length of the bridge hand-over-hand, his body weighted down with explosives, the enemy shooting at him, desperately trying to kill the lone Marine hanging beneath the bridge.
In a June 16, 2008 interview for Marine Corps Times, Ripley said “I had to swing like a trapeze artist in a circus and leap over the other I-beam. ... I would work myself into the steel. I used my teeth to crimp the detonator and thus pinch it into place on the fuse. I crimped it with my teeth while the detonator was halfway down my throat.”
Ripley set the charges and moved back to the friendly side of the river, all the while under heavy fire.
When the timed-fuses detonated, Ripley – running for his life on the road leading away from the bridge – was literally blown through the air by the massive shockwave he had engineered. The next thing he remembered, he was lying on his back as huge pieces of the bridge were hurtling and cartwheeling across the sky above him.
In an interview for Americans at War (U.S. Naval Institute), Ripley said, "The idea that I would be able to even finish the job before the enemy got me was ludicrous. When you know you're not gonna make it, a wonderful thing happens: You stop being cluttered by the feeling that you're going to save your butt."
A Virginia native, Ripley served in the Marine Corps for 35 years: He commanded three Marine infantry platoons (one rifle, one weapons, one reconnaissance), three rifle companies, a British Royal Marine Commando company (which operated alongside Gurkha infantry in Malaya), a U.S. Marine rifle battalion and a Marine infantry regiment. He also held a variety of other posts from professor to university president. He directed the Marine Corps' History and Museums Division. He testified before Congress on the dynamics and rigors of combat. And a Forward Operating Base in Afghanistan was named for him.
In addition to being one of the Corps greatest heroes and a legend among midshipmen at Annapolis (his alma mater), this year Ripley became the first Marine inducted into the U.S. Army Ranger Hall of Fame.
Incidentally, a signed copy of Col. Charles H. Waterhouse's painting depicting Ripley's exploits at the Dong Ha Bridge hangs in my office as a reminder that – as we read in Philippians – "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
Considering the lives saved and the superhuman feat performed under intense enemy fire at Dong Ha, I believe Col. Ripley's Navy Cross should have been – and should be – upgraded to the Medal of Honor.

Please, anyone reading this and is an Obama supporter, can you tell me what he means by this? Why does the national news media not discuss this? Combine this with Senator Biden's warning concerning an international crisis that the citizens will not be happy with how their administration will contain it and you can come up with some scary scenarios. Why exactly is Obama calling for another national security force?
This video begins that this is what Hitler did. That is true but it is not just contained to Hitler. You examine every country that swung over to a Socialistic totalitarian state. Those in charge always had a secret police force.

Do You Know Senator Obama?
One week to go. One more week and I want to ask you what you know about Senator Barack Hussein Obama. Let me ask three questions that are popping up on the internet.
Is Senator Obama a United States citizen? What a stupid question, you are saying to yourself. Of course, he is a citizen, you say. He was born in Hawaii and Hawaii is a state. I ask the question because the Illinois senator will not release his birth certificate. It’s a simple request and a simple act. Senator John Sydney McCain has released his birth certificate. All you have to do is go to the government office that keeps your birth certificate in the county you were born, make the request, pay a small fee, and usually within five minutes, you have your birth certificate. In fact, in order to get a drivers license or an international passport, you have to show your birth certificate. You can even request a copy of your birth certificate through the mail, which my wife did when we got married. My wife was even able to obtain the birth certificate of her father after he passed away. So I ask the question – why doesn’t Senator Obama show us – the citizens – his birth certificate? And why is his birth certificate sealed so that nobody can look at it.
How healthy is Senator Obama? Senator McCain has released his medical records, over two thousand pages. We do know a little about his medical history. He has had some minor skin cancer removed from his face. Of course, there is the matter of his broken bones and his arms pulled out of their sockets due to him being tortured while a POW at the Hanoi Hilton. A fact the Obama campaign knows of but they still make jest of his inability to do simple things with his hands and arms such as use a computer. However, what do we know of Senator Obama? Nothing really because all he has released is a one page summary of his medical history. Now, if you have been paying attention, you should also know a little about Obama’s medical history. One – he is a smoker. How are his lungs and is he at risk of cancer? Two – by his own admission, he is a past drug user. Cocaine and marijuana – again by his own admission. How has these drugs affected his health?
Who is Rashid Khalidi and what is his connection to Senator Obama? Well, if you look him up using Wikipedia, you will find that he is just a misunderstood university professor. If that is so, then why is the L.A. Times not releasing a video of Senator Obama toasting and praising Khalidi? During this toast, the terrorist William Ayers was present. You remember Ayers, the former Weather Underground terrorist that bombed the Pentagon and police stations, now a college professor. Again, we have another questionable friend of Senator Obama’s.
There are numerous questions concerning Senator Barack Hussein Obama. I provided some links above but I urge you to do research on your own. Do not vote from ignorance. Remember – the individual you put in office has the ability to assign people in government positions that will affect you, your children, your grandchildren, and your nation for generations.

Wealth Redistribution
In eight days, the citizens of this great nation will elect a new President. It’s crunch time. I suppose by now the majority of people have made their decision and chosen their candidate. I will vote for Senator John Sydney McCain. If anyone plans to vote for Senator Barack Hussein Obama, I really would like to hear your particular reason why.
I have many reasons why I am voting for Senator McCain, one being voting against Senator Obama. As to why I am against Senator Obama – aside that I am racist white male – I have many reasons to vote against him. One reason is that Senator Obama is for wealth redistribution or socialism. What makes me say this? Well, let’s listen again to Joe the Plumber ask Senator Obama what his plans are if he becomes President.

Just remember, wealth redistribution is only part of what Senator Obama wants because in order to redistribute anything, it must first be confiscated and controlled. That’s right! To make it simple, if you make 100,000 dollars a year and another person makes 15,000 a year, in order to rise the latter is income, how much of your income must be confiscated? Moreover, don’t think that the government will take enough from you so that both of you make the same. Remember, the government is like the mob – they take their cut!
Read the definition of socialism again. Wealth redistribution is not just your income. It is what you own – your home, your property, your community. Even your retirement. The Democrats have plans for your 401(k). Just follow the 401(k) link and this link as well.
Now, do I have your attention?
There are eight days left in this election. You need to look at history and the outcomes of other nations to see what happens when the government takes over. You need to study the results and consequences of socialism.

Inexperience vs. Experience
“Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America.”
“Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“He’s gonna have to make some really tough - I don’t know what the decision’s gonna be, but I promise you it will occur. As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it’s gonna happen.”
“We’re going to face a major international challenge. Because they’re going to want to test him, just like they did young John Kennedy. They’re going to want to test him. And they’re going to find out this guy’s got steel in his spine.”
"And he's gonna need help. And the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you - not financially to help him - we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right."
Senator Joe Robinette Biden, the Democrat Vice-Presidential candidate, uttered the above quotes. Do his words scare you? They should. He is saying that our enemies will do something to see how much they can get away with if Senator Barack Hussein Obama becomes the President of the United States. Let’s think this through.
In a sense, Senator Joe Robinette Biden is correct. Since World War II, our enemies have tested all of our President, with Soviet Russia being the main instigator. Since World War II, our Presidents were tested with the Cold War, the Korean War, the Viet Nam War, China turning to Communism, the rise of Islamic terrorism. The many ways our various Presidents have been tested are too numerous to mention.
While I do not want to demean the past, to be blunt these tests have all happened outside the United States. But that changed on September 11, 2001.
January 2001 we witnessed the inauguration of President George Walker Bush. His first test came when the Chinese Communists forced down one of our planes in their territory. Then came September 11, 2001 when Islamic terrorists decided to push the United States by testing President Bush on our own shores. The citizens learned that day that no longer will the tests imposed on the United States by our enemies will remain overseas.
Up until that time, when our enemies tested our presidents, these “tests” were far from our shores. While our citizens took notice of how their Presidents reacted, the thought that what happened was not in the United States and did not drastically affect us. In the late 1970’s that started to change when Islamic terrorists tested our Presidents by actively targeting our embassies, our citizens, and our military personnel. The ultimate test occurred September 11, 2001. Now Senator Joe Robinette Biden says an inexperienced junior Senator will have to make a decision that the majority of us will not understand and/or like. Do you want to take that risk?

September 11, 2001 proved that we are vulnerable to terrorist attacks. Remember when President Reagan took office and the Iranians released our kidnapped embassy personnel that same day? Why? Because the Iranians knew, that President Reagan was not going to mess around. He was going to get those hostages back.
Now we have an individual poised to be President of the United States who – by his own words – has stated he wants to weaken us militarily and has stated he would meet with our Islamic enemies without pre-conditions. Do you want to risk the deaths of citizens living in New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Chicago, Norfolk, San Diego, or in any other United States citizen? Do you want to risk a nuclear device or a dirty nuclear device detonated in any of our cities? Do you want to risk the attack and possible destruction of Israel?
I don’t and that is why I am voting for Senator John Sydney McCain. If he had just graduated from the United States Naval Academy and then did nothing else in his life, he still would have done and achieved more than Senator Obama has ever done in his life. However, let’s not forget what else Senator McCain has done.
He was a naval aviator, sitting ready on the deck of an aircraft carrier prepared to defend the United States in case the Soviet Union escalated the Cuban Missile Crisis into a nuclear war. He survived a horrendous fire onboard the USS Forrestal, a fire that nearly sank that aircraft carrier. On a mission during the Viet Nam War, the North Vietnamese shot down his aircraft, took him prisoner of war, and for 5 ½ years they severely beat and tortured him. His captors gave him the chance to go home early. I would not blame him if he took that offer. Nevertheless, he held firm to his core beliefs and training, saying no all the while knowing his decision would only get him more beatings. He has looked evil and death in the eye and made the right decisions. He has made life and death decisions.
Again, think who you would rather be the President if Iran drops a nuke on Israel. Or if bombs are set off in our cities. Or if biological or chemical weapons are released in the United States. It is dangerous lunacy to believe that Senator Barack Hussein Obama will make the right decision to either protect or avenge this nation.

A short entry for today.
First subject - the election is two weeks away and you have to get out and vote for John McCain. Also, don’t forget to vote for the Republican running in the Senate and Congressional races. Lt. Col. Allen West is running in Florida’s 22nd Congressional District. Andy Harris is running in Maryland’s 1st Congressional District. Michele Bachmann is running a tough re-election race in Minnesota’s 6th Congressional District and is targeted by the Democrat Party in a smear campaign. Collins Bailey is running a tough race in Maryland’s 5th Congressional District. And Lt. Col. Bill Russell is running in Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District against the detestable John Murtha. Remember him? He accused our Marines of murder for their actions in Haditha, Iraq. Well, the Marine Corps have acquitted all involved Marines. These people need your help. If you have an extra five to twenty-five dollars, please send it to them. Just remember, the money you spend now on the right candidates may possibly save you from paying more in taxes in the future.
Second subject – I blogged last week about Joe the Plumber. Well, it seems after Joe asked Senator Barack Hussein Obama a question; life has been pretty hard for him. The Obama campaign and the Democrat Party have made it all but impossible for Joe to work by sicking Union goons on him. They have dug into his personal life – his work experience, his finances, and even dug out his divorce history. The points you need to remember is not whether Joe has a plumbers license, whether he owes taxes or not, or even anything about his ex-wife. The first point is the answer Senator Obama gave him – "It’s not that I want to punish your success, I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got a chance at success, too. I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody.”
The second point is what has happened to Joe since he asked his question. The media and the Democrat Party have dug into his life in an effort to shut him up and intimidate him. The message is the Democrat Party and the lapdog media will attempt to destroy you f you dare question a Democrat.

Don’t let the Obama campaign relegate this wonderful and powerful nation into a Socialist, second-rate country. Meet Joe Wurzelbacher
Have you heard of Joe Wurzelbacher, or as he is now known, Joe the Plumber? I bet you a dollar to a donut that Senator Barack Hussein 0bama wished he never met him. Recently, while campaigning in Ohio and working the rope line; Senator Barack Hussein 0bama met Joe the Plumber. When Joe expressed his concern over Senator Barack Hussein 0bama’s tax plan, he received this reply –
"It’s not that I want to punish your success, I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got a chance at success, too. I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody.”
Why didn’t Senator Barack Hussein 0bama just tell Joe “from each according to his abilities to each according to his needs” and then move on. That’s only twelve words compared to the forty-one words of bull he spieled out to Joe. However, this Joe is not your average Joe. Wait, that’s wrong. He is your average Joe. He is the common working man who gets up every morning, puts in an honest days work, and then comes home to take care of his son. Let me tell you a little bit about these average Joes.
These average Joe’s make up the majority of this great country. They are mechanics, plumbers, electricians, elevator repairmen, builders, construction workers, bricklayers – the men and women that build things, fix things that make this country work. I also include in this bunch the firemen, police officers, teachers, and military personnel that ensure our safety and take care of our children.
I have worked with leftists and listened to their disdain for the common working man. I have heard them talk down to waiters and waitresses. I hear them comment on how uneducated these people are, labeling them rednecks and other names I cannot write down less you are offended. Yet when someone breaks into their home, who do they call? These leftists are so smart yet they cannot replace a spark plug. However, America's working men and women understand what is happening to this country.
Mr. Wurzelbacher – Joe the Plumber – nails what Senator Barack Hussein 0bama wants to do to the working men and women of this country. Its socialism, plain and simple.
Let me explain it this way. You have a plumber –a single man – that makes 85,000 dollars a year and pays 28 percent in taxes. The government steals from him at the point of a gun 23,800 dollars. If you raise this working mans taxes by 3 percent – up to 31 percent – then the government is now stealing from this working man 26,350 dollars. Due to this 3 percent increase in taxes, this plumber is now unable to hire a helper. However, if you lower this plumbers taxes by 3 percent – from 28 to 25 percent, the government now steals from this worker 21,250 dollars. Now, the plumber can hire a helper at 35,000 a year. At 22 percent, the government steals from the helper 7,700 dollars. Combined, the government is now taking in 28,950, an increase of 2,600 dollars from the 26,350 the government steals from the single plumber taxing him at 31 percent. Multiplied by millions of workers and businesses and the federal government actually takes in more money by lowering taxes then by raising taxes. Why is this so hard for people to understand?
When the government raises taxes, people spend less. The less people spend – at stores, restaurants, services – less people are hired. Less money goes into the economy. I understand this. Joe the Plumber understands this. Why can’t leftists understand this? The dirty secret is that they do understand this. It is not about raising money or even redistributing wealth. It is about control! It is socialism! I know this and so do Joe the Plumber!
Many of you know dozens of Joe Wurzelbacher’s. Some of you are a Joe Wurzelbacher. Why should you or any Joe Wurzelbacher be punished for working hard. Come this November, you have the choice of punishing the Joe Wurzelbacher’s of this country or give him a break. Do not punish the working man by voting for Senator Barack Hussein 0bama. If you agree with this, pass it on. If not, delete it and then go vote your freedom away.

Am I A Racist?
Am I a racist? Is this blog a hate site? Well, that is the assessment of the only person that has commented on some of my posts. Moreover, why these charges against me? It stems from my usage of Senator Barack Hussein Obama’s middle name. As the commenter mentioned –
Maybe I am a racist because I dare to mention Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Rev. Wright is a black minister who used to preach at the Trinity United Church of Christ. I implore you to follow the two links and read about Rev. Wright and the Trinity United Church of Christ. You should also read more about Black Liberation Theology, which is more Marxist than Christian. I must be a racist because I am not just talking about two black men but I am making charges that these two black men are bad for the United States. Therefore, I must be saying that the United States should not have any black politicians.
On the other hand, maybe I am racist because I try to let citizens know that Barack Hussein Obama – there I go again – has connections to two homegrown terrorists. These two terrorists are William Ayers and Bernadine Dorhn. I have mentioned these two in previous posts. Now think about this. Remember Timothy McVeigh? Remember Eric Robert Rudolph? Because all these prominent black men are conservative Republicans. Lt. Governor Michael Steele had Oreo cookies tossed at him during his run for the Maryland Senate seat. The magazine Emerge depicts Justice Clarence Thomas as a lawn jockey on its cover. Police handcuff Alan Keyes and lead him away from a television studio, releasing him in a deserted part of town. Nevertheless, all that is permissible because they are black Republicans.
The race card is the act of a coward. It is used to silence the critics of liberal black leaders. Moreover, all too often, Republicans allow themselves to be silenced. Well, it is time to stop this nonsense. The Obama campaign and the leftist media label me a racist – and others – not only because we dare criticize him but we do not plan on voting for him. This is a despicable act of pulling the race card.
I use the full name for Senator Barack Hussein Obama solely because the left does not want me to. It may be childish but it is not racist. That is his name. Either live with it or change it. But no one has the right to tell me what I can or cannot say – be they Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative. If I allow others to control what I can say with something as innocuous as a name, than it opens the floodgates as to what else I can speak out against or allowed to say. I did not spend eighteen years in the United States Navy so I can have a Chicago Marxist thug – yes I said it – tell me what I can or cannot say.
I’ll say this again – Barack Hussein Obama is bad for this country. All anyone has to do is look and listen. I urge you to have the courage to tell the truth about this man. Do not let anyone still your voice. You are not a racist if you criticize this man or any man or woman, regardless of their skin color. Have courage. Stand up for your country and ignore the race card.
Attempting to drive home the point about Obama's middle name does not help your case for not being racist. Why? It's just a middle name, sure. But why do you use it? The same reason many GOP surrogates use it. To drive home to all the redneck idiots "he is not one of us" (e.g., he is not a white person with Christian ancestors). I don't fear any man simply because his middle name is "Hussein" but many ignorant folks out there do. When you intentionally use "Hussein" in the context you are using it to call attention to Obama's difference in background, which since he is Christian, is largely based around ethnicity. Or you're trying to link him by association to the deceased Iraqi despot Saddam Hussein. Either way, it's a thinly veiled attempt at fear mongering, it's silly, it's childish and a waste of cyberspace. Bar Stool Economics
The following is raised by David R. Kamerschen, a Ph.D. Professor of Economics from the University of Georgia. It has been around the internet for some time but deserves to be read time and time again.
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing. The fifth would pay $1. The sixth would pay $3. The seventh would pay $7. The eighth would pay $12. The ninth would pay $18. The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So, that's what they decided to do.
The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until on day, the owner threw them a curve. "Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20."Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?' They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.
And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings). The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings). The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings). The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings). The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings). The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.
"I only got a dollar out of the $20,"declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man," but he got $10!"
"Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than I!"
"That's true!!" shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!"
"Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!"
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.
For those who understand, no explanation is needed. For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible.
I love this explanation. It should become a campaign poster. This economic mess is going to make the people scream worse when the jobs really start to end. You think it's bad now? Have you read - honestly read and examined - what Barack Hussein Obama wants to do? His latest musings concerning 401k's is that instead of having pre-tax money go toward your 401k, the money will be taxed first and then go toward your 401k.
Just remember people, the wealthier folks have the ability to take their money elsewhere, and probably will. And the more people are taxed, the less that is given toward charity. Those who are connected to churches should remember that!
The poor in this country are not like the poor from the 1930’s. Back then, they had survival skills. Now they only know how to hold their hands out, and many won't survive. And the people the elites insult and make fun of - the gun-owners, the Christians, those living in fly-over country, will be the ones who will not only survive, but everyone else will depend on.
It's sad how they've allowed themselves to be indoctrinated that they're owed a living because they're “disadvantaged”. They don't know how to do without. It's gonna get ugly.

Barack Hussein Obama Supports Murder!
Jill Stanek. The Illinois Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Barack Hussein Obama. What do these three have in common?
Jill Stanek is a pro-life advocate and worked as a nurse at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois. You can read more of how she got involved in the pro-life movement here. Jill Stanek discovered after about a year of working on this hospital in the Labor and Delivery Department that this hospital performed abortions. But not just regular abortions, which is bad enough. This hospital practiced induced labor abortions, also known as "live birth abortion," where doctors prematurely deliver a baby with the intent of the baby dying during the birth process or soon afterward. Do you support this?
The Illinois Born Alive Infants Protection Act (BAIPA) states -
This man – Barack Hussein Obama – voted three times against a bill that would allow babies born during a botched abortion to remain alive. Ladies and gentlemen – that is murder.
